Workshop function occasionally receives previous value of a Workshop Variable
I’m troubleshooting an issue in Workshop where a function occasionally receives the previous value of a Workshop Variable, resulting in incorrect calculations. The flow is roughly: Filter selection → Workshop Variable update → Function execution The function itself appears to work correctly, but sometimes the input passed to the function is one interaction behind. For example: Filter = user, I have defaulted to current user id in this case mine and I don’t have any data, I change the filter to a user who actual has data, all the object tables are loading and I have a button on click on which I have designed a slate module, instead of passing the object set or filter variables to slate, I pass in the filters to a function which in turn builds the input for slate, I discovered now that I can use getmessage() and foundry functions and build slate So the users complain that they see previous filter data and re-opening solves the issue, but it is annoying and I checked t

[SOLVED] Run automations as a 3rd-party user with restricted scope
The Palantir documentation describes how to set up a third-party application for running automations and why you might want to do so here . It advises setting the application scope to Unrestricted for the initial setup, which for some production use cases might not be palatable. The docs do suggest you can change this later; You can adjust this after creating the application one [sic] the OAuth & restrictions page. But if you do the next time you update the automation you will get an error. Monitor Registry: Edit Automation Metadata Permission Denied For Third Party App Owner The issue is that the 3rd-party user owns the automation, and it can only make changes to the automation if it has the permissions to do so. Since the permission needed to update automations is hidden from the Oauth & restrictions menu, the only you can make edits is to temporarily make the user unrestricted. So the workflow becomes: Follow the docs to create the automation wit

Pilot App & Property Security Policy Issue
We are having an issue with an OSDK application backed by Pilot App. Pilot App claims some of our object types are outdated. Creating a global branch in Pilot app generates an error: An error (OntologyMetadata:DeprecatedPropertySecurityGroupsFieldUsed) occurred with this request (error id: 92dbeb26-628c-4b94-a432-acd6a1c22894). We noticed this issue since we configured a property security policy on one our objects (Employee), which makes sense given the error. Our policy was very simple and complied with the restrictions . We’ve since removed the policy to see if this fixes the issue, but it doesn’t. This is not blocking us - we can create global branches elsewhere in Foundry, and in Code Workspaces we can tag and release our app. It just feels like a specific issue with Pilot App. 1 post - 1 participant Read full topic
