Restricting user access to a single space in a Palantir Dev Tier environment and managing permissions through group-based roles.
Hello, I’m currently working on a Training POC project using the Dev Tier Edition. Within my organization, I’ve created a dedicated Space intended for secondary users to collaborate. I’ve added these secondary users (who already have Dev Tier Palantir accounts), but I want to restrict their access so they can only work within this single designated space. At the moment, they are able to access the entire organization. Additionally, within this space, I would like to create user groups and assign roles or permissions based on those groups to control access more granularly. Could you please guide me on how to: Restrict users to a single space within the organization, and Implement group-based access control within that space? Thanks in advance! 1 post - 1 participant Read full topic

Feature Request - Allow Cipher Encryption Keys to be Configured for Rotation
Context : Cipher encryption utilizes key values that are internal to each Cipher Channel. As far as the documentation is concerned, there seems to be no notion of these internal keys ever changing/rotating. Problem : While the encryption keys are not readily accessible from the Cipher Channel configuration, reducing likelihood of a key being obtained by a bad actor, key rotation is still necessary. Compliances such as GDPR greatly recommend highly-sensitive data encryption be rotated every 90 days. At the moment, rotating an encryption would require creating a brand new Cipher Channel, applying the new channel to all encryption locations, and then re-assigning operational user decryption licenses. This process is not ideal. Request : Allow a configurable option to have a Channel’s internal encryption keys to be rotated on an automated schedule. If there is an internal Cipher Channel functionality that already addresses this (auto rotation), then update Cipher documentation with

Blocking a project from being completed or cancelled if it still has active tasks — validation popup on action, similar to ontology manager deletion guard
We have a Project object type with linked Task objects. When a user tries to mark a project as Completed or Cancelled , we want to check whether any of the linked tasks are still in an active state — and if so, block the action and show a popup telling the user to close or cancel those tasks first before proceeding. The behavior we’re after is very similar to what the Ontology Manager already does natively — when you try to delete an object type that still has action types or link types depending on it, it stops you and tells you to remove those dependencies first. We want the same guard pattern, but on a business action in Workshop: don’t let the project close until all its child tasks are resolved. Right now we can’t find a clean way to do this within a standard Action Form. Ideally the action itself would validate the linked task states before executing, surface a meaningful message to the user listing the active tasks, and prevent the status change until the condition
