Enhance OSDK v2 Type Safety & Compile-Time Diagnostics for Ontology Property Mappings in Code Repositories
As a first-time poster in the Palantir Community, I would like to initiate a discussion around OSDK v2 TypeScript compilation and property binding experience in Code Repositories. While working on an AIP Chatbot Agent backed by TypeScript functions querying an Ontology Object Set ( UnnirInventoryBalance ), I encountered a subtle issue where an internal property mapping mismatch resulted in runtime zero-count/null returns rather than triggering compile-time diagnostics or highlighting errors in the Problems tab. Given Palantir Foundry’s unified “all-under-one-roof” architecture—where the Ontology, Code Repositories, and AIP Studio coexist within the same tenant—it would be immensely beneficial if the TypeScript compiler or static code analysis could flag display-name vs API-name mismatches or unmapped property keys directly during the build phase. Relying purely on runtime execution to uncover empty schema payloads can slow down debugging. I would love to hear how the community and pr
Session Data Loss: Workshops and Ontologies disappearing daily
Hi everyone, I am currently working through the Palantir Training Sessions using my Developer Tier account . I’ve run into a frustrating issue over the past month regarding data persistence, and I’m hoping someone here might have insight or can help me flag this. Whenever I work on building components—specifically Workshops and Ontologies —and return the next day, all of my progress from the day before completely disappears. Here are the key details of my situation: The Module: This is consistently happening within the “Speedrun: Your First End-to-End Workflow” training track. Saving Process: I am 100% sure that I am explicitly clicking the “Save” button during my sessions before exiting. Scope: The issue definitely occurs with Workshops and Ontologies (I am uncertain if data pipelines are also affected). Behavior: Every single day, it feels like the environment resets, and the previously saved Workshop modules and Ontology definitions are just gone.
Code Workspace fails to start with PERMISSION_DENIED
I’m working through the “Your First Ontology Function” training, but I’m unable to start the Code Workspace for my Functions repository. The repository was created successfully, but every time I open the workspace it enters a failed state with the following error: Error code: FAILED_TO_START_SESSION Related error: RemoteException: PERMISSION_DENIED The page says that an unexpected error occurred while starting the session. Restarting the workspace produces the same result. I have already confirmed: I am an organization administrator. Code Workspaces access is enabled for everyone. The repository was created successfully. Restarting the workspace does not resolve the issue. Because the workspace never starts, I cannot access the VS Code-style editor or continue the Functions portion of the course. Has anyone encountered this before? Is there another permission that must be enabled for Functions or dedicated developer workspaces, or does this require Palantir
Unable to deploy pipeline
Hello! I built out a pipeline for a project I am working on and went to deploy. I keep getting this message “Pipeline cannot be deployed due to one or more schema errors in the last saved version. See the errors tab in the bottom bar for more details. Save pipeline changes to refresh this check.” it then tells me to open error panel to see the issue but there are no errors only warnings on things that shouldnt matter. Anyone know why this could be happening? 1 post - 1 participant Read full topic
