langchain-palantir: A LangChain Integration with Palantir-provided LLMs
langchain-palantir I signed up for the Palantir AIP Developer Tier last year, and have since been experimenting with its capabilities. One of the most powerful aspects of the Developer Tier is the generous LLM inference offerings that are given for free, but generally those LLMs are only usable with AIP Agent Studio or via palantir_models , the AIP custom LLM inference library. In my spare time I have been developing langchain-palantir , a LangChain integration for Palantir-provided LLMs. langchain-palantir provides implementations of the standard LangChain constructs like ChatModel , Embeddings , and BaseLoader by wrapping calls to the palantir_models library. This library is open source (Apache-2.0) and usable in your own projects. I do not have a marketplace export file as my Developer Tier account does not allow that, so you’ll have to find a way to get the code itself into your own AIP account and build the Python library from there. VELOX vs GLUTEN
So, in Foundry, we can explicitly use BOTH references (GLUTEN as profile and VELOX as backend): @configure( ["EXECUTOR_MEMORY_MEDIUM", "EXECUTOR_MEMORY_OFFHEAP_FRACTION_HIGH", "GLUTEN"], backend=ComputeBackend.VELOX) @transform_df( Output('/Project/folder/output'), source_df=Input('/Project/folder/input'), ) def compute(source_df): ... This is strange, because… GLUTEN profile itself has a setting enabling VELOX backend: The official documentation does not use the GLUTEN profile only referencing the VELOX backend. It implies that Gluten is used under the hood. I’m lost here. What should we use: both, one of them? which? What if we use both, some particular setting comes from both and differs? 2 posts - 2 participants Read full topic
Date custom formatting and startday - inconsistencies
A year or so ago you added the ability to change the date formatting in OMA. This works great in tables, lists, and similar places. However, there are some inconsistencies in the implementation that can be very confusing for users. Formatting Inline action forms: Mon, Mar 2, 2026 (default format, cannot be changed) Date input widget: Mon, Mar 2, 2026 (default format, cannot be changed) Date and time picker widget: 2026-03-02 00:00 (date format can be configured) Starting day of the week (datepicker) In inline action forms , the week starts on Monday. In the date and time picker widget and date input widget , the week starts on Sunday. It would be nice to be able to visualize dates in the same way across all components. 2 posts - 2 participants Read full topic
Why do API calls of service users (via Developer Console) don't work ? (Permissions missing or empty response)
I’ve setup an application in Developer Console, which created a service user. This service user has some permissions over some object, but when I try to perform an API call with it, it returns an empty response or an “unauthorized” response. Why ? What is the configuration I need to make this API call to work ? 2 posts - 1 participant Read full topic
String property not findable by any of the sub-terms
I have objects with a string property (my-string) in the format of term1.term2:term3 . I was expecting to be able to find these objects in Object Explorer (and in Workshop filters) by searching for any of these sub-terms ( term1 , term2 , or term3 ), but that does not seem to be the case. How do I fix this? 2 posts - 1 participant Read full topic
How do I setup 'Temporary Training Artifacts' project with 'Editor' permissions for all users?
Hi everyone, I am planning to set up a new project named “Temporary Training Artifacts” to facilitate an upcoming hands-on training session. To ensure a seamless experience for all participants, I need to configure the project so that all users (or the ‘Everyone’ group) have ‘Editor’ access by default. This will allow them to create, edit, and collaborate on data artifacts within this specific project. I have a few questions regarding the best practices for this setup: Namespace & Permissions: What is the recommended way to grant ‘Editor’ roles to all users without compromising the security of other production namespaces? Automated Cleanup: Since these are “temporary” artifacts, are there any built-in Foundry features (or scripts) to automatically archive or delete this project after the training ends (e.g., in 30 days)? Resource Limits: Are there any concerns regarding resource consumption (Compute/Storage) if a large number of users start bui

The Honest Reason AI Will Beat Many Sales Reps: They Don’t Really Do A Lot Of The Work. But Agents Do and Will.
Here’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. Everyone’s worried AI is coming for sales jobs. And yes, it is. But maybe not for the reasons you think. The uncomfortable truth? AI isn’t going to replace great sales reps. It’s going to replace the one…
