Running action in a branch question
Hi, In Palantir foundry I create a branch. I try to run a Typescript function backed action. It throws a message saying “edits are not allowed”. I index the possible object types involved in the action. Now the data disappears in my branch. This is my consistent problem. Being not able to run actions in the branch. Working with Workshop
Good morning, I am a developer working for an organization that really like there workshop dashboards. I have been fully exposed to building a lot of other things but have very limited experience is workshop and the problems that Low Code/No Code appliaction builder has and it capabilities. I have read a good amount of documentation at this point and played around with the Ontologize Youtube channel videos. I was wondering if there are any more resources that people recommend for learning that platform that cut down there time to become proficent. Receive Large Pushes from External Source
I am trying to receive a push from an external source (Oracle Fusion I believe). Initially we tried this via streams , but the payload did not conform to standard stream schemas. We tried listeners next, but some of the json payloads exceeded the 1 MB payload size limit (maximum payload is ~5 MB). I am experimenting with custom endpoints next and compute modules, but I couldn’t get either working. Does anyone have any other thoughts of what to try? Looking for a few people interested in forming a serious Palantir study group!
My idea is to form a small group, pool resources and hire a tutor. The goal would be to work through real world projects, receive guidance, ask questions, accelerate learning together. I reached out to Ontologize, but they only work with organizations that already have a Palantir and don’t offer a paid self-serve learning track. I’ve completed all courses on learn.palantir.com and have reached the point where self-study alone isn’t getting me much further. I’m looking for a more structured, guided way to continue learning. Think of it like hiring a personal trainer at the gym: I’ve done the basics, but now I’m looking for expert guidance and accountability to get to the next level. Native .docx editing inside Foundry?
We have ontology objects with attachment-typed properties holding .docx documents (typically rendered from templates via docxtpl). Users need to edit the .docx and persist the changes back to the same property — with the PDF mediaset rendering the updated version for in-platform viewing. We’ve considered the obvious paths and none feels right: Notepad — not Word-fidelity, and the source documents originate outside Foundry. Workshop check-out / check-in via attachment download → local edit → upload action — works, but the round trip is friction for high-frequency editing. SharePoint co-edit with a URL property on the object — moves the source of truth off-platform. Custom Workshop widget hosting a JS .docx SaaS editor (SuperDoc, TipTap + mammoth) — external SaaS services aren’t an option, and pure-JS .docx round-trips are lossy on complex documents.
