In a recent (this month) Ontologize video, Gena demo’ed that Vega charts were available as a native tool in AIP Agent Studio, but it’s not available for me (same for another viewer of the video), but I did see it is a built-in tool in AIP Analyst. Was just wondering was the Ontologize showing us a preview feature for AIP Agent Studio (Native Vega Tool), or was this feature just moved from AIP Agent Studio to AIP Analyst? secret key management in AIP authentication
Although I totally support limiting authentication options to asymmetric cryptography, it looks like I cannot extract my secret (private) key (identity). Windows security offers a choice of storing the key onto local machine (TPM enclave), mobile device (via QR/Bluetooth), hardware FIDO2 key. I do not have the latter to test but the second option does not work because Palantir platform rejects it in the end with “type of passkey does not meet enrollment security requirements”. As a result, my access is locked to a single PC: neither could I work with AIP from my MacBook, nor would I be able to restore access if the PC is lost or stolen. Expose Resource Lineage as a Public API
Foundry’s Workflow Lineage UI shows the full dependency graph between resources (datasets, object types, transforms, applications, monitors). This data is not accessible programmatically. Please expose it as a V2 REST API endpoint and MCP tool . Today this data is only available through the Workflow Lineage UI and AI FDE’s internal tooling. Functions, AIP Agents, and OSDK apps cannot access it. What We Tested From a TypeScript v2 Function, we tried 30+ API paths including Compass sub-paths, decorations, V2 endpoints, and all @osdk/foundry.* SDK packages. None expose lineage data. Meanwhile, AI FDE’s internal get_resource_lineage tool returns exactly what we need — upstream/downstream RIDs with names, paths, and connection types. Allow admins to set the default model(s) for AI tools (FDE / Analyst)
These tools currently default to Claude Opus, which is rather expensive to run. We’re currently being challenged on opening these tools up to a wider audience, as there’s fear of run-away token costs. As an admin, I should be able to better control what the default model is, since regular users rarely change these.
