Key Development
Palantir CEO Alex Karp has criticized the token-based pricing model used by OpenAI and Anthropic, stating that "something has gone completely wrong" in the AI industry. This comes as some U.S. government customers have switched to open-source AI solutions, citing concerns over dependence on external AI models. Karp's comments highlight the growing tension between closed and open-source AI models, with significant implications for the industry.
Contracts & Government
Palantir has announced a formal partnership with NVIDIA to focus on national security, aiming to reduce the U.S. government's dependence on external AI models. However, the company has also faced criticism, with Spain's National Security Council blacklisting Palantir over domestic security concerns. Additionally, some U.S. government customers have switched to open-source AI solutions, citing concerns over dependence on external AI models.
Market & Business
Palantir's CEO has expressed concerns over the AI industry's focus on token-based pricing, stating that enterprises are paying to lose their competitive edge. Despite this, the company has seen significant interest from investors, with Jim Cramer describing Palantir as the "fastest grower" of the stocks he follows. The company's partnership with NVIDIA is also expected to drive growth in the national security sector.
Strategic Implications
- Palantir's partnership with NVIDIA is likely to drive growth in the national security sector, but may also increase competition from open-source AI solutions.
- The company's criticism of token-based pricing models may lead to a shift towards more transparent and flexible pricing structures in the AI industry.
- The blacklisting of Palantir by Spain's National Security Council highlights the need for the company to address domestic security concerns and demonstrate the value of its solutions to government customers.

Using MCP in a script to create and modify object types
Hi all, I’m trying to use MCP in a Foundry VS Code Repo for an SAP learning exercise/demo to create object types from SAP tables and rename properties using SAP data dictionary (DD) tables. Example input tables: EKKO → Purchase Orders EKPO → PO Items KNA1 → Customers DD03T → Table Field/Property Names The pattern I’m aiming for is: get the dataset columns look up each column in DD03T.FIELDNAME and get DD03T.DDTEXT use those values as property names create the Object Type rename the properties in bulk How do I use MCP in a script? See below for a pseudocode example of a python file. # filename: sap-mcp-pseudocode.py import palantir_mcp import [other_palantir_libraries] # Inputs: # EKKO (Purchase Orders) # EKPO (Purchase Order Items) # KNA1 (Customers) # DD03T dataset_configs = [ {"object_type": "Purchase Orders", "dataset": EKKO}, {"object_type": "PO Items", "dataset": EKPO}, {"object_type": "Customers", "dataset": KNA1}, ] for conf
