Daily Palantir Intelligence Briefing — Wednesday, July 8, 2026
Key Development
DA Davidson upgraded Palantir (PLTR) to "Buy," citing the company's critical role in providing an AI orchestration layer for enterprises. This upgrade signals growing Wall Street confidence in Palantir's ability to manage increasingly complex AI ecosystems, moving beyond its historical valuation concerns. The analyst report specifically highlights Palantir's growing advantage in this area, suggesting that the market is beginning to recognize its platform's essential function in the enterprise AI landscape.
Contracts & Government
The outcome of a potential £330 million National Health Service (NHS) contract in the UK remains uncertain, contingent on political decisions by Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham. Palantir's broader involvement in UK government initiatives also hangs in the balance, underscoring the strategic importance of this specific deal for the company's expansion within the public sector.
Product & Platform Updates
At the Transformation World 2026 event, Kyano announced new product innovations including Agentic AI for data migrations and unstructured data solutions. Kyano's Lorna product will support customers with AI-powered project intelligence. SNP and Palantir are also accelerating secure SAP transformations through a strategic partnership, indicating continued collaboration on enterprise data and transformation initiatives leveraging AI.
Market & Business
Palantir faces persistent investor scrutiny regarding its AI valuation, a recurring theme on Wall Street. While the company is recognized for its strengths in AI, government software, national security, and enterprise automation, analysts continue to debate the appropriate valuation for its growth. This sentiment is echoed by commentary from "Big Short" investor Michael Burry, who has maintained his criticism of AI stocks, including Palantir, despite recent upgrades and perceived improvements in earnings trends. Conversely, a DA Davidson upgrade suggests some analysts see a more balanced valuation and a critical role for Palantir's AI orchestration capabilities.
Strategic Implications
- For Enterprise Customers: Palantir's position as an "AI orchestration layer" means it is becoming an indispensable partner for organizations grappling with the complexity of integrating and managing multiple AI solutions. This could translate to more robust, secure, and efficient AI deployments.
- For Developers: The emphasis on AI orchestration by analysts like DA Davidson suggests a growing need for developers skilled in integrating diverse AI models and data sources within structured platforms like Foundry and AIP. Palantir's platform is likely to be a focal point for building and managing these complex AI workflows.
- For Investors: Despite ongoing debates about valuation, the analyst upgrade and continued interest in Palantir's government and enterprise AI capabilities suggest underlying fundamental strengths. However, the market remains sensitive to broader AI sector sentiment, as indicated by Michael Burry's continued skepticism.

Using MCP in a script to create and modify object types
Hi all, I’m trying to use MCP in a Foundry VS Code Repo for an SAP learning exercise/demo to create object types from SAP tables and rename properties using SAP data dictionary (DD) tables. Example input tables: EKKO → Purchase Orders EKPO → PO Items KNA1 → Customers DD03T → Table Field/Property Names The pattern I’m aiming for is: get the dataset columns look up each column in DD03T.FIELDNAME and get DD03T.DDTEXT use those values as property names create the Object Type rename the properties in bulk How do I use MCP in a script? See below for a pseudocode example of a python file. # filename: sap-mcp-pseudocode.py import palantir_mcp import [other_palantir_libraries] # Inputs: # EKKO (Purchase Orders) # EKPO (Purchase Order Items) # KNA1 (Customers) # DD03T dataset_configs = [ {"object_type": "Purchase Orders", "dataset": EKKO}, {"object_type": "PO Items", "dataset": EKPO}, {"object_type": "Customers", "dataset": KNA1}, ] for conf
