Key Development
A recent article highlights internal dissatisfaction with Palantir's leadership, citing an "absolute internal meltdown." This development matters strategically as it may impact employee morale, retention, and ultimately, the company's ability to deliver on its commitments to customers and partners.
Contracts & Government
U.S. Sen. Dave McCormick is hosting a gathering of defense, technology, and government leaders in Pennsylvania to discuss the state's role in national defense and potential opportunities for expansion. While not a direct contract award, this event suggests that Palantir may have opportunities to engage with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the defense sector.
Market & Business
Rackspace Technology's stock is gaining attractiveness due to its partnership with Palantir to roll out a proprietary operating model framework. This partnership is expected to govern private cloud and sovereignty requirements, potentially opening up new revenue streams for both companies.
Strategic Implications
- Palantir's internal leadership issues may impact its ability to execute on strategic initiatives and deliver value to customers, potentially creating opportunities for competitors.
- The company's potential engagement with defense sector leaders in Pennsylvania could lead to new contract awards or partnerships, further solidifying its position in the government and defense markets.
- The partnership with Rackspace Technology demonstrates Palantir's ability to collaborate with other industry players, potentially expanding its reach and capabilities in the private cloud and sovereignty segments.
Getting objects from a polygon and putting through function
I’m new to Palantir’s tools, so apologize if this is basic. I’m trying to make an application where users can draw a polygon over a number of points on a map, then input both that polygon and the points under it into a custom Python function that outputs a new GeoJSON polygon and displays that. Any guidance on approach or docs would be appreciated. I have the Python code developed and the objects I would like, but plugging it in in Foundry is tricky. 1 post - 1 participant Read full topic
Marketplace/DevOps for DEV/TEST/PROD - Rebase source
Hi, We’re using Marketplace/DevOps to manage releases and environment separation using Spaces, and it works great. One feature we’re missing is the ability to rebase a source environment (DEV) to a previously published package. If you make a number of changes in DEV and want to discard them, there’s currently no easy way to get back to a known-good state—especially when those changes span multiple repositories and PRs. Being able to reset DEV to the contents of a previously published package would make it much easier to recover from abandoned or experimental work and start again from a clean baseline. Thank you! Cannot register legacy uppercase-named same-region S3 bucket
Goal I’m trying to add a same-region S3 bucket with READ ONLY access to my enrollment’s S3 bucket policies allow-list. Background In the connection settings of my Data Connection source, it states: S3 buckets in the same AWS region where your Foundry instance is hosted must also be added to the S3 bucket policies allow-list on the network egress page in Control Panel. Control Panel: Network egress → S3 bucket policies → AWS S3 Bucket Policies I navigated there and attempted to add an AWS S3 Bucket Policy, with it correctly detecting the AWS bucket region: us-east-1 . But when I click save, nothing happens and no error message is visible on the frontend. I believe this is because the bucket has a legacy uppercase name, made before March 2018; it accepts test1 but silently rejects TEST1 — both validated as us-east-1 before I clicked Save. Questions Is there a supported way to register a same-region S3 bucket with a legacy uppercase name? Why is no e

Governance for Security-Sensitive Controls
Hi One area where I think the platform could be strengthened is around the lifecycle management and governance of security-sensitive administrative decisions . Today, in most stacks, certain capabilities such as exports, creating third-party application registries, egress policies that allow integration with external systems are managed by admins and used based on an organization’s risk appetite. However, what seems to be missing is ongoing checking after those decisions have been made. Here’s a few examples that come to my mind: An export is a risk and may have been approved based on a specific assessment and business justification. Over time, the data connection configuration (agents, or egress proxy configuration) could change - or even the external source system configuration - changing the risk profile and allowing the original approval to be used in ways that were never part of the initial assessment.
